Robert Ntegeka
Field Coordinator - IUCN - Save Our Species Project
Robert holds Bachelors of Science in Wildlife Health and Management (BWHM) - Makerere University, Kampala. He has a Diploma in Wildlife and Allied Natural Resource Management from Uganda Wildlife and Research Training Institute, Lake Katwe and a certificate in Special wildlife training and Tourism skills. He also attended leadership training from National Leadership Institute, Kyankwanzi.
He served as Field ranger 2008-2015 with Uganda Wildlife Authority, Queen Elizabeth National Park in three departments of Law Enforcement, Monitoring and Research and Tourism Department. The roles included but not limited to patrols, data collection and guiding. He was attached to the vulture research programme, ornithological and botanical surveys in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Also monitored eradication of invasive plant species (opuntia vulgaris) in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
He is Co-founder Budongo Youth and Women Development Initiative (BUYODI), a CBO based in Nyantonzi village Budongo sub-county, Masindi district. Spearheaded education awareness and conservation of environment within the areas near Budongo forest where deforestation is intense. He is also a volunteer community educator especially on matters of conservation.
